As of now, the #Northland just missed out on seeing its first #tornadoes of 2025, but two have been confirmed in the Brainerd Lakes region.

The Northland will have a high-pressure system right overhead Tuesday night.  That will provide partly cloudy skies, calm winds, and lows in the 50s.  This will allow some patchy fog to form in spots.Wednesday will see a mix of sunshine and clouds over the Northland with a northwest wind remaining light.  High temperatures will remain warm in the 70s and low 80s.  A few isolated showers are possible over northwest Wisconsin.

The Storm Prediction Center has placed the I-35 Corridor in an Enhanced Risk for severe weather for the rest of Monday, June 16, 2025.  The vast majority of the Northland is under a Slight Risk, with the regions near the Canadian border and the Upper Peninsula in a Marginal Risk.  The greatest threat from the strongest thunderstorms that will pass through the rest of Monday are hail over 2" in diameter and wind gusts over 60 mph.  A weak tornado and minor flash flooding is also possible.The satellite and radar over Minnesota and the Northland at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, June 16, 2025, shows a scattering of showers and a few thunderstorms over the western half of the Northland, with a mix of clouds and clear skies over northwest Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula. The Northland will continue to see cool conditions this upcoming Father's Day weekend with most highs in the 50s and 60s, with lows in the 40s.  Some spots could dip to the 30s, putting the threat of patchy frost in place.  Overall, the weekend will see mostly cloudy skies with isolated shower chances, with the best chances Saturday morning and Sunday afternoon/evening.

Low temperatures will be seasonal in the 40s and low 50s.Winds will be coming off Lake Superior Thursday, which will help to push some of the wildfire smoke out of the Northland.  It will also cool temperatures to the 60s for most highs.  Clouds will be increasing throughout the day, but showers and thunderstorms hold off until Thursday night.
