It's publication week for Someone Like Me!

Edited by Clem Bastow and Jo Case and published by UQP, this is an anthology of Autistic women and gender diverse writers that I'm thrilled to be part of.

The front cover of the anthology Some Like Me. Its background colour is pale purple and the title is printed over slices of yellow and pink on top of images showing people ripped into thin slithers collage style. The book is sitting on a wooden surface. The title page of my chapter, called An Autistic Tran Man Travels Back to the Nineties to Give His Younger Self Some Advice.

I'm very excited to be included in this anthology of Autistic women and gender diverse writers, edited by Clem Bastow and Jo Case and published by UQP, who have kindly sent me advanced copies and a nifty tote bag. The awesome cover design is by Susan Le.

The book will be available from 4 March 2025. Check it out at uqp.com.au/books/someone-like-

Excellent news. #UQP is one of the best #publishers in the country, leading the way tbh.

UQP has announced the launch of a First Nations Classics 5 — 3 series, with the first instalment to be released in June 2023. The publisher said the inspiration behind the new series ‘lies in the richness and cultural importance of First Nations writing on this continent and in the longstanding role UQP has had in publishing those works.’

The first instalment of the series features eight titles by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander writers, with new introductions from contemporary authors. Titles range across memoir, novels, short stories and poetry, and include Blood by Tony Birch (introduction by Larissa Behrendt), Follow the Rabbit-Proof Fence by Doris Pilkington (introduction by Tara June Winch), Purple Threads by Jeanine Leane (introduction by Evelyn Araluen), and Holocaust Island by Graeme Dixon (introduction by Ali Cobby Eckerman) which has been out of print.
