I have a printer that is attached to an HP ThinClient via USB and I'd like to relocate the printer to another room. While the printer itself has an Ethernet-port I can't use this option, as the ThinClient runs nothing but a VDI client.
Does anyone have any experience with USB-over-Ethernet? Does this work without additional drivers? Is the Ethernet layer transparent to the client? Does the bridge require configuration? Any suggestions on hardware?
