Man #UShealthcare sucks. I'm trying to get costs on a procedure to determine if I can afford it. Office admin doesn't know, says the financial admin will call me. Financial admin knows only the procedure cost, says I have to phone the hospital to find out the charge for facility and anesthesia. So opaque, so arcane.

Also, she says I should *delay care* so the costs (whatever they may be) will go toward next year's deductible. This system is optimized for something, but it's not "health."
