I was hoping that #Ubiquiti has better #IPv6 in these days. Sadly, there are some important features missing. You cannot set a #ULA prefix 🤯
There are some posts about manually modifying some internal json file but this potentially breaks after some update.
And the other feature is IPv6 in guest network. They still do not support v6 when having a portal in a guest network. Hello? 2025? Why?

Ya tengo todos los dispositivos en sus respectivas VLANs, con sus nuevas IPs y todos los servicios funcionando correctamente.
Haber configurado las networks de Docker previamente me ha ahorrado muchos quebraderos de cabeza y de configuración. Lo recomiendo enormemente.
El único problema que he tenido ha sido con #TrueNAS, que no me he coordinado del todo bien y me ha tocado configurarlo físicamente.

Super sad at how long it took me to install the first sensor pair on our primary door, which happens to be recessed and therefore a huge PITA for flush sensors. 😩

Today I installed a SuperLink Gateway and my first of the new environmental sensors.

UPS is delivering my door sensors (!!!) tomorrow. So stinking excited for this evolution in the Ubiquiti ecosystem. I still haven't figured out what I'm going to configure in alarm manager. Squeee!

I hope the eventual #enshittification is years and years away.

For the last few weeks I've been battling a DNS issue at home, queries just not getting a response most of the time. I could see them hitting the PiHole but long delays on replies, or no reply at all. On the Guest network that doesn't use the PiHole it was the same, so I was confident it wasn't the Pi. I setup DoH on the PiHole and the issues went away, confirming it was something to do with the #Ubiquiti Dream Machine or maybe ISP but if ISP related, I'd expect to hear more noise. I even got DoH working on the UDM and set the Guest network to use the UDM for DNS, still the same. 🤯 I eventually gave up and installed the EA software update for the Dream Machine and the problem has gone away! I didn't update the Network Application and that remains on the latest Official release 🤔 My kids are now most happy as we have the TVs on the Guest network so was making it very slow for them watching their stuff. I hate nonesense like this, wasted so many hours on it... One good thing, I have DoH working now on the PiHole which I should have done a long time ago!

Boah, als ich noch Admin war, wäre das Gerät wohl ein absoluter Traum gewesen. SFP-Module einfach befreien für 53 Euro. Die Flexbox, war mir damals jedenfalls einfach zu teuer. Ich werte den SFP-Wizard als direkten Angriff auf diverse Switch-Hersteller. Geld verdient #Ubiquiti damit eher nicht.

You can block WiFi devices in #Ubiquiti 's controller software but there is no "unblock" button. Even if you delete the device from the list to make it forget it, you need to reboot the WiFi AP(s) to actually allow the device back in. 🤦

When my iPhone 17 Pro Max arrived it was my first Wi-Fi 7 client device, so I enabled MLO.

I found that once or twice a day my phone would just stop moving any data unless I toggled Wi-Fi off and on again. Everything looked good, the network was connected and the phone still had an IP address, but it’s like there was nothing on the other end. So I turned MLO off.

I’ve re-enabled it after installing this update, which has some MLO fixes. Fingers crossed. #Ubiquiti #UniFi
