...and yet it constantly happens that while I'm typing, I accidentally brush against the touchpad and suddenly I'm typing somewhere completely different (often obliterating a whole section of text because it interpreted the brush as a select for some reason, even though I didn't actually click).

I have to ask: what does "while typing" even mean, then? Is it, like, the 50 msec during which I'm pressing down each key, and then the tenths or hundredths of a second between keystrokes are counted as "not typing"? Why isn't there a "delay" or "hysteresis" setting? :blobcatupsidedown:

When I embarked on my daily-driver #DesktopLinux journey I installed my go-to distro, #UbuntuMate. I haven't been entirely satisfied with it for every day use and after a ton of exploration, trial and error I think I'm going to switch to #LinuxMint. Feels more modern and its incredibly customizable which I think means I can make it work on my desktop, convertible laptop and tablet by adjusting the layout to meet my needs on each type of device #linux

@kathimmel I never had Mac hardware but, considering the age of it something lighter like #UbuntuMate might be a better option. But, I'm not sure how nice the hardware will play with Linux. Maybe this will help, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CnoLh2sCK-k&t=5

Need some help from #Linux folks to get the #Itch app working.

For some reason it's simply not running on my #UbuntuMATE install. If I try to start it manually in terminal, it gives no errors. There was a switch I added to the command some time ago and put it in a launcher on my top bar, but that got deleted by accident and I can't remember what it was.

I'm hoping someone can help me reconstruct it or figure out an alternative.
