@Mer__edith @signalapp @pluralistic my current guess is that #Mozilla gets a lot of funding from the advertisement ecosystem (either directly, or via Google?). And therefore now gets dragged into this AI nonsense. While @signalapp maybe is more run on users' donations?
And for #Mozilla maybe #OpenSource is not enough of an #UlyssesPact because they have most of their devs and technicians "hostage"/under their payroll, so it's not easy to create+maintain a fork for such a huge project?
