Day 10: Did you rewatch a drama in 2024?
I rang in the New Year rewatching #DoomAtYourService and it was nearly as great the second time around.
Also rewatched #UncontrollablyFond which has an annoyingly long revenge arc but that's worth it because #KimWooBin and #BaeSuzy are perfection.
I especially loved rewatching #TheHeirs now that I've had much more opportunity to watch the queens and kings in that series evolve into starts.

Doing some paperwork at the computer while listening to my kDrama OST songs.

This one comes on & my eyes are tearing up even before I realize which drama this is. Powerful stuff!

@EllenInEdmonton @whoosh @JillsJoy I watched it by myself, it was a binge, but I ended up hating the ML. He's unnecessarily cruel towards the FL even if we take into account his motives.
Bae Suzy's acting is absolutely great in this #kdrama

Uncontrollably Fond
(2016 - Viki, 20 1:00 eps)

A 1st rate, cliche, weepy melodrama, with the usual flat yet extraordinary characters facing an insurmountable problem. Most characters are fabulously annoying & do things that no one would ever do, but it's melo perfect.

Ill-fated 1st loves meet after many years. ML has become a rich actor whose mom can't forgive him for not becoming a prosecutor. FL is a poor video journalist forced by circumstances to compromise her values to survive. We suffer as they try to find their way through the horribleness that life has thrown at them.

The phenomenal acting *makes* this drama - especially Kim Woo Bin, whose character could have been overdone. There are a few unforeseen revenge twists, & a couple of sweet side relationships that keep it interesting. Both leads were nominated for Best Actor & Couple awards.

Just rewatched #UncontrollablyFond, which is heart-wrenching, mainly so that I could see #KimWooBin up close. Also watching The K2 in order to watch #JiChangWook in naked fighting scenes. #LeeMinHo in everything. #SongKang and so many more.
And, in #kdrama more than the lovely appearance of the MLs, it's the deep consideration and respect that they show towards their beloved that truly melts my heart!

@jcurries It's a really interesting twist! Time without #kdrama is pretty sad. I couldn't watch much on my camping trip but I finished off #CaptivatingTheKing as well as the final shows of #LovelyRunner and #AtypicalFamily. Working on #HospitalPlaylist S2 and rewatching #UncontrollablyFond with @whoosh
Almost ready to start learning some new #korean vocabulary again now.

I really enjoy #BaeSuzy. She was fabulous in #Doona and #UncontrollablyFond. Google says that season 2 is being filmed, in part in the Philippines.

Thankfully, I haven't had to do much hatewatching with K-dramas but there were so many aspects of that particular show that tempted me to scream!
Oh, the larger-than-life images in #UncontrollablyFond were really fab, IMHO! If I looked that great in photos, I'd happily display myself everywhere!

Episode 10 of the #kdrama #UncontrollablyFond finally got me 😭😭😭

I finished #UncontrollablyFond #kdrama last week but I'm writing only now because in the meantime I got a Netflix subscription and I'm falling deeper into the #kcontents world 🫠🫠🫠

Tough the plot is good, imho they went a bit too far with it. The intensity of certain reactions, as well as the evilness of the truth unfolding scheme made me uncomfortable. Not every mean justifies the end, no matter how virtuous the final goal.

The chemistry wasn't amazing either.
