Man From Utopia, by Rick Griffin (1972)

Rick Griffin was an artist known for his psychedelic concert posters and album covers for the Grateful Dead (Aoxomoxoa), as well as underground comix such as Zap Comix.

I recall getting this comix from a record store/head shop in the mid 70's.

Trochę nad tym myślałem i chyba jednak dam szansę pomysłowi nieregularnej serii wpisów z krótkimi formami z amerykańskiego komiksowego undergroundu.

Ostatnim razem prezentowałem Wam dwustronicowy komiks "Slash and Burn" autorstwa Richarda Corbena opublikowany pierwotnie w wydanej przez Rip Off Press antologii "Fire Sale" z 1989 roku. Tym razem również mam coś z tej publikacji, ale jeszcze krótszego, bo jednostronicowy komiks "Batrat" R. L. Crabba.

Jest tu wiele rzeczy, które można polubić, zwłaszcza interpretację Batmana i jechanie po Disneyu, a przy tym szort ciekawie wpisuje się w historię amerykańskiego komiksu undergroundowego, bo przywołuje historię "Air Pirates Funnies" – wydawnictwa, w którym przedstawiciele ruchu comixowego sparodiowali postaci znane z kreskówek i komiksów Walt Disney Productions, co doprowadziło do wytoczenia im przez tę firmę procesu.

Nie przedłużając już – zachęcam do rzucenia okiem.
