Underrated books: the Great Library series by Rachel Caine. It's one of my favourite ya fantasy series. Set in a world where the Great Library of Alexandria still exists and is the centre of all knowledge, but the institute also controls which of that knowledge is available for the rest of the world, and paper books are forbidden outside of the library.
