I'm just hearing about #unity2020 for the first time now, so maybe I'm missing something but it just sounds like congress, only tiny.
Instead of trying to shoehorn a deliberative body into the executive branch, why not force the deliberative body we already have to deliberate? How about a candidate that vows to not use executive orders and veto everything. Nothing gets done unless congress can work together to put together a super majority.
Even as a democracy skeptic who’s devoted my career to building alternatives as I watch America’s slow-motion collapse, I’m excited by the #Unity2020 plan and candidates. I would be proud to call any of them my President.
