No. 500-09-030847-248 SCM No. 500-17-120468-221. They made a public declaration on the steps of the Supreme Court of Canada at 1.00 pm on Oct. 16, 2024 which is covered in the following film..."

"After the 'opening words that come before' at the rally, these were the words of a Mohawk #KnowledgeKeeper: 'We find ourselves in the ongoing violation of the #TeiohatehTwoRow, which is the agreement made between us in the beginning of our relationship. We have tried to alert the #Crown that there is a violation going on which places both of us in rough waters. Today we stand in front the Supreme Court of Canada facing a political violation by the people of #Canada that we wish to discuss so that we may get #justice"

Members of #Piapot #FirstNation, students from the #UniversityOfWinnipeg & various other professionals are learning new techniques that will hopefully be used for ground searches of potential #UnmarkedGraves sites in the future.

A new company “Kā-natonahkik-tāpwēwin,” which in the #Cree language translates to “In search of the truth,” is leading the training. The company known as KNT IRS Consulting for short, is an #Indigenous owned, on-reserve company.

It was in May 2021 that Tk'emlúps te Secwépemc announced the 215 unmarked graves at the former Kamloops Indian residential school.

Since that time many other First Nations have done their own searches, and a lot has been learned.

A national event was held in Regina to share information about that new knowledge and discuss movement forward.

A two-year ground penetrating radar search of a cemetery used by the Beauval Indian residential school in Saskatchewan has revealed anomalies of the potential unmarked graves of 79 children and 14 infants.

It’s expected to impact 16 communities in the northwest, both First Nations and Métis. The announcement of the search findings was made on Aug. 29.
