A lo largo de cualquier historia de amor (no necesariamente romántica) hay picos y valles y zonas mediopensionistas. Los Bellamy guys dan a Unravelling unos acertados giros que casan a las mil maravillas (es divina esta frase hecha) con el leit motiv de los versos.

Versos muy mejorables.

La canción que Muse entrega suena a pastiche de discos que ya hicieron. Deja con la sensación de que su entorno profesional debería airearse, que necesitan trabajar con gente nueva y mostrarse porosos con sus aportaciones. Es muy normal tras tanto tiempo en la cresta de la ola. Merecidamente.

Matt sigue cantando con brío, ahora más contenido, prescindiendo de gorgoritos y restando longitud de onda a las notas. Cómodo en cualquier caso con un papel más secundario, porque en este desmorone el bajo pone la sal y las especias.

Una canción que sabe a un refresco que lleva varios días abierto en el refrigerador. Está rico, deja un gusto agradable, eso sí, sin la magia de las burbujas. Un refresco que parece un sucedáneo de lo que una vez fue.

On a delivery run a few days ago I went along this street. These days there is very little motor traffic because this is no longer a through route for motor vehicles so the cars visible belong to residents.

This was once a busy through route, in fact the only route for all traffic in this direction, but in the 1970s it was broken up by sections of cycle-path so that drivers could no longer use it as a through route. Through motor traffic is instead accommodated on a parallel road which in this case is built unusually close by.

A noise barrier was built a bit later to prevent this area from being swamped by the noise of the through traffic and it works very well.
