I really don't understand why so many people feel entitled when it comes to #mastodon features (and #fediverse in general).

When it comes to #socialMedia controlled by #bigTech, it doesn't even provide a valid #userSupport past the #FAQs. Good luck providing your opinion and suggestions there.

If you want something exactly according to your taste (and needs), by all means build it yourself. You can use existing #openSource code to build upon.

Or, just be more patient and tolerant here.

Hi folks, I’m Daniel.

I’m an Aussie with a background in #IT who moved into the cyber world a while back. During my time in IT, I spent most of my time in a #windows environment, covering everything from #usersupport to building #servers and deploying new SOEs and managing business systems. Did a lot of #activedirectory work, and I’m a massive #powershell fan, having used it daily since around 2010.

Over the years I’ve dabbled in some dev work, including #aspnet #csharp and some #cakephp #mvc stuff. Also used to dabble in some #umbraco work back in the day, but that feels like another life ago.

Nowadays I really enjoy helping clients uplift their #emailsecurity by properly implementing #dmarc, amongst the usual cloud infrastructure reviews for #azure #gcp and #aws. I’m passionate about helping clients uplift their security using existing capabilities and without breaking the bank.

In my spare time, I enjoy #cycling, #running, and #diy around the house and on volunteer projects. I’m also a bit of a car nut, but that has taken a back seat recently due to other priorities.

As an Aussie, I like to keep an eye on what’s going on with #auspol, as well as geopolitics as a whole.
