222 MHz Fall Sprint - 2025 Summary:
Total: Analog Qs = 2 Dig Qs = 6 Mults = 5 Total Score = 40
Tested a single loop antenna at ~30 feet as my other antenna was down for... maintenance. Heard a few weak stations when I first turn on the radio on voice but nothing too strong. Furthest contact I made was 132mi/213km away. All analog QSOs were made by sending the station a message on FT8 asking them to QSY to SSB. Thanks to all that were out there! #VHF #hamr
I wasn't in a summit or in a park, but still brought the HT to chase a friend on a peak. Two meter CW is a lot of fun!
#POTA DE-0618 Königsbrücker Heide (#WWFF DLFF-0141, #GMA DA/SX-230 Wettinhöhe) is a former military training area. When you climb the tower, you’re able to see the enormous size of it. There are two nice places to sit which allow you to put up decent antennas. Fruits from our garden, tastes OK, smells incredible.
I have been monitoring VHF for almost two weeks now, heard no one, my CQ calls got no response. TA repeaters are on UHF and I have no high power UHF radios with me for simplex although the handhelds work fine.
I can also hear a Greek repeater but sadly they did not return my calls there either. :,(

The shack upgrades really made a difference to last years performance. The new Q5 transverter performed well. My only mistake was forgeting to mod my ts590sg to be able to tx on the whole vhf band hehe.

I participated in the #IARU #VHF #Contest and made yesterday 50 QSOs. Today I was station sharing with @siwli and made another 15 contest QSOs. In total, I had 65 QSOs on 2m with about 15k points and reached 9 DXCCs and 31 locator squares. ODX was 658 km to F8KID.
RIG: FT-818 + homebrew PA with 40 W out and 4 ele yagi antenna.

Итак, Антенна Yagi Ailunce AY04 для 2м/70см. Из минусов: отверстия крепления только под вертикальную поляризацию. А значит установка на металлическую мачту не подходит. Пришлось нарастить на мачте лишние полтора метра пластиком и тогда уже ставить.
По SDR в городе Жуковском (Дмитрию спасибо за его поддержку) проверил: сначала коллинеарной UVS-200 щёлкнул, потом - этой. КСВ можно хоть обмериться, а результат хочется видеть в действии. Разница между антеннами видна хорошо. 👍
