@cgervasi killed my Fb account in 2018. The idea of connecting everyone moved to surveilling & monetising at the expense of connection.
I remember seeing a local music gig of a band at a house nearby, emailed the gig organiser and attended. Would not have happened w/o Fb. That type of interaction died and so did it’s utility.
