In den letzten Tagen habe ich #Vampyr gespielt. Mal auf der PS4 angefangen, nun endlich auf dem PC beendet.

Die Stadt leidet unter einer Epidemie, die Hauptfigur (ein Arzt) wird zu einem Ekon (Vampir) verwandelt und ermittelt wie ein Detektiv und muss stärker werden, um gegen die starken Gegner bestehen zu können.

Mein schwerster Kampf war gegen den Vampirjäger McCullum.

Gefallen haben mir die Kämpfe, die stimmungsvoll eingefangene Nacht und die Beleuchtung.

Watched the original Nosferatu (1922) last night, then bits of Vampyr (1932). It is MIND-BLOWING how much the language of film advanced in that decade.

In Nosferatu, a lot of the acting is still trying to reach the
back of the theater, and a lot of the camera work is fixed and stiff. I do wonder if part of the reason it became so legendary was due to the copyright lawsuit that required all copies to be destroyed. (It is a blatant Dracula ripoff.)

Vampyr is much more naturalistic — and also much more creepy. I still can't figure out how they executed the shadow special effect. (Yes, I know, it's probably online, but I want to ruminate on how they solved the problem first.)

We also decided to watch Nosferatu with German title cards to practice our German. We managed some of it! Some we had to look at the subtitles, and there were a couple of handwritten things we were expected to read that were illegible.

Next on the list: Werner Herzog's Nosferatu, or as we call it in this house, "Dosveratu."

Ich weiß nicht so recht, ob ich Vampyr empfehlen soll. Als Nächstes spiele ich Mafia 3 weiter. LiS folgt erst, wenn ich Bock habe, Geld auszugeben, da ich hier nur die erste Episode vom ersten Teil habe.

Nachdem ich herausgefunden habe, dass man die Personen heilen kann, macht das Spiel wirklich Spaß. Ich habe außerdem herausgefunden, dass ich das Spiel schon einmal durchspielte, nur alles vergessen habe. Spricht in der Regel nicht für das Spiel, aber es macht trotzdem Spaß.

Also ich werde Vampyr noch einmal durchspielen. Läuft super auf dem ROG Ally. Wie gut es unter Bazzite läuft, werde ich auch noch testen.

Aktuell macht mir unter Bazzite lediglich die Hitzeentwicklung zu schaffen, wenn ich keine (für mich) einfache Steuerung für die Leistungsmodi habe (wie in Armoury Crate). Klar, ich kenne mich etwas mit Technik und so aus, aber ich habe nach der Arbeit nicht so die Lust mich damit zu beschäftigen. Deshalb spiele ich es aktuell unter Windows.

Ich will doch nur spielen ... uh uh, uh uh. Ich tue doch nichts.

Wochenende. Da ich Disco Elysium durchgespielt habe, steht nun Vampyr an. Ich hatte das früher einmal gespielt, aber nie zu Ende gebracht. Das soll sich jetzt ändern. Das Spiel läuft auf dem ROGAlly wunderbar.
