A warming and drying trend will develop through the weekend as
offshore flow establishes beneath building high pressure aloft.
Temperatures above seasonal levels are likely Saturday through
Monday with 80s and 90s being common across most coastal and
valley locations. A storm system will likely move over the region
the latter half of next week and could bring moderate to heavy
rainfall.

John Doe Identified

"...In May of 1984, the skeletal remains of an unidentified individual were located on Silver Strand Beach in Oxnard, California, and reported to the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office. The Ventura County Medical Examiner’s Office responded to the scene to investigate and collect the remains for analysis. The remains consisted of a human jawbone with teeth. ...This investigation led to the positive identification of the man, who is now known to be Donald Scott Reich, born December 16, 1944. Reich drowned in a boating accident in January 1978, and his body (missing a jawbone) was recovered after being found along the rocks of a jetty about a month later."
