If anyone knows someone who would be a good networking engineer for our avionics data offload for flight test, autonomy command and control network, and charging infrastructure network, at an electric aviation startup, please check out the job listing below.

beta.team/open-positions/6791e

Note that comp listed is salary alone, not total comp; we also have incentive stock plans on top of that.

This is going to be a job with a good deal of hands on work setting up and troubleshooting networks on our experimental aircraft and elsewhere, so it is going to need to be at least hybrid in South Burlington, VT (it's listed as onsite, but hybrid can work as long as you're able to be in any time you need to put hands on hardware).

Feel free to reach out to me here on Fedi if you submit an app, we are getting lots of automated and AI generated spam applications right now, so if you want to make sure you're not filtered out, a contact here could help.

Vermont Public just posted profiles of all of the Olympians with a Vermont connection, including when to watch their events.

There will also be a medal tracker and more special coverage during the games!

Here is a spreadsheet of the Top 11 municipalities in #Vermont by population (2020 Decennial Census Data), showing the number of registered voters in 2025, how many voted, what type of #elections and #TownMeeting they hold, what type of government they have, and their votes on the FY26 budget (#VT SecState reported data) Of them, the City of #Burlington and the Town of #Brattleboro are the only two that do not hold a townwide ballot to approve the municipal budget.

I have made the point many times, especially in the context of the recent fight in #Brattleboro #Vermont to preserve curbside pickup, that waste management is the first duty of a municipality, because it is directly related to our stewardship of the land we occupy, the land which constitutes our very claim to identity as a municipal entity, as a community. No job is more important in the health of a community than responsible, equitable provision for waste (and sewage).

All societies above a certain size and scope are better governed by representation. The voters of #Brattleboro understood this in the 1960s, when they made the change to Representative Town Meeting. Are we more wise than they?

A interesting introduction from #AmandaJanoo. I realize this is from over 3.5 years ago, and I do like what I see in terms of values, but what I want to see is concrete policy proposals, rather than flowery prose about well-being, generosity, and contentment.

I take a very dim view of politicians who refuse to talk specifics, out of fear of alienating votes. Tell me what you believe, but tell me what you are *actually* going to do about it.

People did gather an hour ago in St Albans in solidarity and witness (and heartbreak and grief)

Just another beautiful #winter #sunset in #vermont

I heard from #BeccaBalint today regarding #ICE. It's a good letter, and I'm glad she's my Rep. I wanted to share part of the letter.

Hey #Vermont, just so you know, your Senators are planning to use your tax money to suppress your protests:

A little bit of excitement in my neck of the woods today. Several ice skaters went out on the lake, the ice shelf they were on detached from the shore and floated them out toward the middle of the lake.

#Vermont has adopted a new rule lowering the acceptable amount of #PFAS in groundwater. "“Basically, (it’s) a new threshold for what is acceptable in groundwater. It matches what’s acceptable in drinking water systems. And that number is basically four parts per trillion for the most common PFAS substances. It had been 20 (parts per trillion)” State Senator Durfee said. "benningtonbanner.com/local-new
