3. Steven Spielberg presents "The Goonies." A Richard Donner film. Novelization by James Kahn. Based on a screenplay by Chris Columbus. Story by Steven Spielberg. They call themselves "The Goonies." The secret caves. The old lighthouse. The lost map. The treacherous traps. The hidden treasure. And Sloth... Join the adventure. Obvious creating with color loss at the top open corner.
4. "Our Own Story by The Rolling Stones as we told it to Pete Goodman." It's kinky, man! Kinky! Direct from England! The only official account! With 32 pages of original photographs!
5. "Wild in the Streets: Teen takeover–the day it all happened, baby!" by Robert Thom. Now a stunning movie starring Shelley Winters, Christopher Jones, and Diane Varsi.
6. Kung-Fu Master Richard Dragon — "Dragon's Fists" by Jim Dennis. There is a narrow red stain at the top-most edge of this white cover and a small patch of color pull in the title near old sticker-shadow.

Today's feature — 18 early books from "Casca, the Eternal Warrior" series, created by Barry Sadler, composer of "The Ballad of the Green Berets." A few have Fabio covers!

"10 Cents Worth Of Batman Will Bring You $75 Now" by Tim Bleck, Journal Herald staff Writer.

Look. Up in the sky. It's a bird. It's a plane. It's the price of old comic books.

For the price of a small set of encyclopedias you can purchase the 26-year-old original version -volume I, number one of the adventures of Batman at Bonnett's book store, 502 East Fifth street.

Well, maybe you can. "We don't really want to sell it," said Walter Bonnett, son of proprietor Harold Bonneft.

They have a volume I, number one of "The Complete Story of the Daring Exploits of the One and Only Superman," too. That dates to 1939 and sells for $60. The original Walt Disney comic (1940), with Donald Duck on the cover, is available for $30.

"We've got quite a few $10 ones. That's about as much as most people will go," said Harold Bonnett.

"I've been here over 30 years and built up quite a collection. This comic book collection craze started about 10 years ago, I guess."

When his son returned from the service a year ago, he began exploring his father's gold mine and answering the requests, mostly from out of town, from collectors.

"Right now the hot thing is Marvel Comics" said Harold. "This is the age of super-heroes I guess. And Marvel has them-the Fantastic Four, Thor and Captain America.

Sex & relationship advice in the 1970s was vastly superior to that of the '50s, which were better than the '30s... We should know. We've been here the whole time!
These seem a little mansplain-ish by today's standards, & probably so. Still useful, though. Maybe good for laughs!

New to our Biographies... In '72 Hughes' Corp. built the Glomar Explorer mining/salvage vessel. To build it, a giant crane barge was made by Sun Shipbuilding. It was all a CIA cover, to recover a wrecked Soviet sub. That crane, the Chesapeake 1000, still works today at the MV Dali-shipwrecked Francis Scott Key Bridge collapse in Baltimore, MD.
