Hand painted vintage metal sign, found in a vintage store. “Dogs and cats boarded”. There are depictions of one of each of these animals.

Ghost sign for Alain Murzeau, Maitre Artisan (furniture maker and interior designer), at 19 Rue du Commerce, 49100 Angers, France.

The business was founded in 1924, and moved here in 1934, perhaps suggesting this is when the sign was painted.

Their shop is still trading at 11 Place Laiterie, 49100 Angers.
