Two years ago I accidentally donated clothing from my ‘keep me’ pile to a clothes bank that I’ve long regretted. Recently I looked on Vinted and to my surprise there they were, brand new w/tags. Most of the clothes I lost weren’t particularly expensive, but the value of something isn’t only monetary. These camo GAP joggers I received yesterday being one of them 💚 #Vinted

I've recently discovered #vinted.

Now, I'm all for the concept: Let someone else get use out of your unwanted shite instead of it going to landfill. However, it has turned people who are not suited into retailers. And retail is a tough game.

Not happy with the price I offered? Don't accept the offer. Don't accept it, then refuse to deal with missing parts because "you got it cheap".

And if you accept an offer, send the goods. Don't drag your heels cus "you paid way below what I wanted".

@von @SordidAmok It 𝘪𝘴 both. However, I think the post stems out of frustration for people who conflate minimalism with discarding anything they don't need to the landfill.

I must confess that's how my minimalism started as well. But by now I have a 100% sale rate on the second hand store Vinted, and 100% 5-⭐-reviews on anything second hand. Pardon the tooting of my own horn, but I am proud of it. It's remarkably satisfying to find stuff a new home.
