So it's now official: my latest ethnographic film #HopaLide has been selected for the #RAI FILM Festival in Bristol. What pleasure to be part of this traditional #VisualAnthropology event!

You can either attend the screening on the 12th of June in the Watershed Cinema (starting at 09:40 in the morning – I'll be there!) or watch the film between the 16th of June and – 16th of July online (in the company of over 90 ethnographic films from 36 countries!)

Here's the poster for the upcoming screenings of Etnofilm Čadca.

For the first time this year, this 40-year-old festival changes its modus operandi, and besides Čadca, it brings #EthnographicFilm to other cities in #Slovakia, including Žilina, #Nitra, #Bratislava and #BanskaBystrica.

My latest film, #HopaLide, has been scheduled for November 12th at 15:00 in #Zilina. I'm heading there for a Q&A.

Today, #HopaLide reconvened with other #Carpitella films (and filmmakers) in Rome for this year's Materiali di Antropologia Visiva (founded by Diego Carpitella himself in 1985!).

My latest #EthnographicFilm #HopaLide has made it to another film festival: the 10th-anniversary edition of the Days of Ethnographic Cinema!

It's the first time when:

– the film is screened with other-than-English subtitles

– neither I nor any of the musicians will be present at the Q&A. Instead, the Russian anthropologist Andrey Yakimov will contextualise the film for the domestic audience.

Quite excited about it!
