These are the three wands I made out of sticks from our garden :MagicWand: ✨

The one with the orange wrap is Beech, the hot pink wrap is Fuchsia, and the purple wrap is Lavender. They each have their own symbolism and vibes to me: Beech to me is stately, impressive, maybe a bit haughty; Fuchsia is irrepressibly vigorous and ungovernable; Lavender is calm, steady, and quite eccentric.

Also attached a couple of "making of" photos - normally I don't trust myself with anything sharp, but I was able to use the Stanley knife without any uh-ohs! :blobcheer:

Three homemade wooden wands on my mantelpiece, next to an LED candle. The lavender wand is pale, gnarled and twisty; the Fuchisa wand is very pale and almost straight; the Beech wand is thinner than the other two, slightly bent, and has its dark brown bark left on.

Lots of twigs and sticks, scattered on the floor on some waste paper that we put down to catch the wood shavings. There some sandpaper at one side.

My arms and hands as I strip the bark from the fuchsia stick using a Stanley knife.
