#Knitting #WIPs: A day late, and a sleeve short.

And I am quite worried I narrowed that cuff too much. Yep, will be frogging that back, too. Luckily it's only 16 rows back.

Far too much unknitting and reknitting in this project…

A knitting project - a toddler-sized cardigan sweater, with raglan shoulders and knit in a textured stitch pattern, is pictured on a dark wood surface. The yarn is an off-white, and there are many random yarn ends hanging out of the project which will need to be woven in.

The sweater has a left sleeve knit down to the cuff, which appears a bit too small for the arm size, and possibly a few rows too short. The circular knitting needle has red metal tips and a black string.

#Knitting #WIPs: The Queen Anne's Lace Shawl is off the needles!

It is slightly larger than the pattern called for, before washing and blocking. I will not be blocking tightly, to avoid over-stretching it, but the stitch pattern is coming out already.

Over-all I am pleased so far. I will hand-wash and towel dry, then see if it will fit on my foam pads, though I have some doubts already.

With anything approaching luck this monstrous piece will be stretched and drying tonight. I am trying a bit of advice I read online to do the weaving-in after wet-blocking. As I hope this piece will see lots of use and lots of washing machine (baby shawl/blanket) I am even going to tie knots to secure those ends...

#Knitting #WIPs update: Queen Anne's Lace

This project was on hold while I 'rushed out' a(nother) wedding #shawl. I had badly damaged the project by dropping a large section off the needles. I tinked back one stitch at a time because #lace in the round is harder to pick up after #frogging.

From row 154 (1312 sts) back to row 130 (640 sts,) so roughly ⅓ the shawl by number of stitches.

Fixing mistakes is way less fun.
