It’s nice to have your pitch selected when you submit a conference application for a “Call for Speakers.”
You know what’s even nicer?
When you’re personally invited to speak, without submitting an application.
I’ve been invited to speak at the ITA Showcase in Portland, Oregon.
The session title is “Securing Success: Meeting Cybersecurity Requirements for Federal Grants in Critical Infrastructure.”
Yup. Federal Grant applications in certain critical infrastructure categories, like rural broadband initiatives, now require verification of cybersecurity standards and practices as part of the application process.
First: that’s great news, and it’s about time.
Second: “Oh wow, if I want to compete for this grant money I’d better get my company’s cybersecurity under control!”
You gain a significant advantage in getting the grant if your cybersecurity section in the grant application is squeaky clean. I’ll break it down for you in this seminar at the ITA Showcase.
