Da ich den #Surface Studio Desktop derzeit nicht mit vertretbarem Aufwand auf #Linux umgezogen bekomme, zweitbeste Lösung gewählt:
schnuckeliges #Dock von @tuxedocomputers statt einfachem Netzteil ans Stellaris gehängt und mein altes #Wacom #Intuos entmottet. Ein bisschen Gefrickel, um die Tastenbelegung meinem Geschmack anzupassen und mit #Krita (statt #GIMP - sorry) bin ich echt glücklich.
Jetzt braucht's noch einen Monitor mit voll-kalibriertem Farbraum und ich bin wieder im Spiel!

Diese #Wacom-Software auf dem #MacBook meiner Frau hat mich echt zum Verzweifeln gebracht. Stundenlang rumgefummelt, de-installieren, Überbleibsel per Hand entfernen, neuinstallieren, hat nichts geholfen. Websuche brachte auch nur sowas zu Tage. Dann halt ChatGPT gefragt und prompt die Lösung bekommen. Die System Integrity Protection verhindert wohl die Kommunikation des Treibers. Sie muss bei Installation ausgeschaltet werden und schon funktioniert es. Danach kann man sie wieder aktivieren.

Nice, another #Wacom pen broke... It is simply unbelievable how unreliable those things are, and I do not understand why they are designed to be so hard to disassemble.

Received my Cintiq Pro 17 from #wacom and am ready to begin producing next course content. With #blender3d developing touch commands, this should should be a good companion for #greasepencil updates and education!

Esattamente 8 anni fa la mia tavoletta #Wacom si ruppe. Per farla riparare dovetti spedirla in Germania. Impiegarono più del doppio delle settimane preventivate per ripararla e rispedirmela indietro.
Ma alla fine (il 10 ottobre) arrivò.
Ma era la stessa? Le cose tra noi erano cambiate? Si era creata una frattura emotiva tra me e lei?

I øvrigt ville Adobe Illustrator ingenting efter opgradering til macOS 26. Jeg forsøgte alt muligt. Sletning af cache og lokale filer. Endte med at reinstallere. Intet virkede.

Det viste sig at skyldes Wacom Tablet driveren, som ikke selv gav en melding om, at den gerne ville opdateres.

Så hvis du har en Wacom tablet og en tilsyneladende defekt Illustrator på en mac med macOS 26, så er det altså ikke Illustrators skyld.
