* Apple Pencil with iPad to do painting and drawing on a MacBook (iPad used as a pad)

* Wacom Intros Pro with MacOS

Is the drawing experience better with the Wacom?

I have used Wacom tablets and pens for years - both cheap "bamboo" and expensive "Intuos Pro" versions. In my experience, the "feel" is not worth the price. And the glitches also destroy the experience. And the software+drivers are a disaster.

I'm thinking about moving to an Apple Pencil used on an iPad but would like to hear from others experiences.

Lol, this is funny. I take my #Wacom tablet after half an year of a break … to find that pressure doesn't work in any application. But … :drgn_confused: I have a pretty clear memories, that it WAS working before.

Then, finally, in the #FreeBSD wiki I found, that webcamd :drgn_confused: :drgn_confused: should be started to use pressure with the Wacom tablets (https://wiki.freebsd.org/WacomTablet). And I remember that I disabled webcamd because I don't use web-camera.

Started it, restarted the #GIMP and the pressure data from my tablet flows right to the GIMP as it was before, lol

@tylersticka FYI, “Connect my tablet” is pretty good too.

Hmm... I have the latest version of iPad OS on my tablet now, and iCloud is taking forever to sync. I've been relying on that to import my work to my PC to run it through Glaze... it could be that I'll be purchasing this thing sooner than I had planned.

I will definitely enjoy the 16:9 aspect ratio and the 14 inch screen when that change comes to pass.

@lnsartwrk A propósito de mesas digitais, nunca vi a minha Wacom a funcionar tão bem em sistemas Unix-like.

Uso distribuições Linux como sistema operativo principal, mas já tive a curiosidade de experimentar o FreeBSD.

Posso dizer que, tanto no Linux como no FreeBSD, o suporte para os tablets da Wacom é incrível! Uma experiência plug and play.

O ambiente de trabalho que considero mais preparado para este tipo de dispositivo é o KDE Plasma, pois permite gerir o tablet através das definições do sistema, sem ser necessário instalar nada adicional.

No Windows, os drivers são terríveis e é necessário instalar o driver de código aberto, que é melhor que o proprietário, bem como efetuar outros ajustes contraintuitivos que todos os utilizadores do Windows fazem sem perceber.

J'ai un petit souci avec ma tablette graphique #Wacom #Intuos CTL 6100WL sous Linux #Mint (en vrai Linux #nird

Je n'arrive pas à la faire fonctionner en #bluetooth...
Alors, j'arrive bien à la connecter à la machine en bluetooth mais pas de mouvement de stylet.

Aucun problème avec en filaire en revanche (pression et mouvement nickel👌).

Si vous avez des idées ? #help

Le repouet rend la vie soyeuse et le poil agréable (ou l'inverse, je ne sais plus !).

PS : Oui, j'aime bien, parfois, m'installer à une place vide dans la classe quand je remplis une fiche leçon ou qu'on corrige un exercice avec ma tablette connectée ! ^^

Poważnie, jakbym chciała tablet bez ekranu bym wyciągnęła swój stary wacom… Poważnie, moja precyzja ruchów jest związana z widzeniem tego co rysuję w momencie, gdy to rysuję, patrzenie na ekran średnio mi w tym pomaga (Bardziej używam patrzenia na ekran PC w momencie kolorowania i cieniowania, bo jest większy, więc lepiej widać niezamalowane piksele, nie jest idealnie, ale no, z astygmatyzmem trzeba sobie jakoś radzić)

Niestety, moja precyzja się zaczyna walić jak jestem zmuszona do patrzenia w jedną stronę i rysowania w dół… Nie wiem czemu, ale po prostu mam z tym problem (W sumie, to nie jedyne przypadki problemów z koordynacją, jak głaszczę jednocześnie psa i kota, jest to dla mnie wyzwanie, bo najlepiej idzie ze strony w którą patrzę), jestem w połowie oburęczna (Jako dziecko zostałam zmuszona do używania prawej ręki… Byłam leworęczna…), więc tak, może to wpływać na tę problemy (Jak to, że trzymam inaczej niż "W poprawny sposób", a w poprany sposób trzymam lewą ręką, ale niestety, lewa ręka nie ma tyle doświadczeń co prawa, więc średnio ten fakt jest użyteczny…

I tak, zdarza mi się często potykać i zderzać z przedmiotami, choć raczej to nie jest DCD, bo mam zbyt dużą precyzję… Po prostu moja koordynacja jest bruh, ale nie na tyle, by mi uniemożliwiała mi różne rzeczy (Halo, rysuję… Więc no, to dosyć trudne dla osób z DCD, więc to wyklucza…), więc mam problemy, ale nie na tyle poważne, by mi uniemożliwiały funkcjonowanie

Więc tak, muszę mieć wyświetlany ekran przez właśnie lekkie problemy z koordynacją… Zabawne jest to, że mogę dużo robić, ale wciąż dobrze słyszeć, a żeby słyszeć muszę coś robić… Paradoks mojego mózgu :A_BlobCat_Bongo:

Ps. Tablet właśnie dotarł, kabel jeszcze nie, ale tak, jest mniejszy niż huion (Niestety, cenowo mniejsze są bardziej dostępne… Jakoś sobie poradzę) i wkłady są małe (Były dosyć dobrze ukryte w paczce)

Są dwa kable, ale bardziej do smartfonów/laptopów niż PC z wejściami A, a tę kable trzeba zamówić osobno (No niestety, tak już bywa…)

Ale tak, tablet doszedł, teraz czekanie na kabel, pewnie dojdzie, albo późno, albo jutro :V
