Managed to take the dogs out in the chilly afternoon.

Elle is pulling left a lot for some reason, going to have to have a poke around her wheels and stuff and check nothing is loose or whatever.
Not looking for suggestions at the moment - I will check her nuts and bolts and stuff first.

Approaching #Ynysmon, and a lighthouse is visible in the distance in the 2nd picture, with some interesting exposed cliffs rearing up from the sea. The first picture of the Snowdon range covered in snow takes me back to my first ever serious winter walk as a student, the complete Snowdon / Eryri horseshoe, with no crampons or ice axe at the time, and leather boots which froze up. To say I was a little bit concerned about falling to my death on Crib Goch would be an understatement, but the pseudo-invincibility of youth held the day.

Once we get to the other side, a mere 3.5 hour drive, all being well on the hopefully snowfree roads of North Wales, to our destination near Birmingham.

In Welsh folklore, Peredur (Sir Percival) offended King Arthur's brother Kay when Peredur didn't notice Kay one winter's day. Peredur was enthralled by a raven standing in the snow. Its black feathers reminded Peredur of the hair of his beloved and the snow reminded him of her skin.

It was really hard not to keep pulling over & shooting on the long drive up across Wales to Snowdonia but I managed to just stop once for this moody view looking down onto Llyn Gwynant. I ignored Google Maps at Beddgelert and turned right staying on the A498 so I could drive down through Pen-y-Pass & Llanberis on our way to the cottage at Pentir. So glad I did too.......
