Just been on a walk up The Lawley, a steep Shropshire hill and realised I'd taken videos but no pics, so here's one of the multiple peaks of this lovely hill. The highest point is the one on the left in the distance with the pole on top. #Shropshire #countryside #hillwalk #mentalhealth #walks

On top of a steep sided Shropshire hill with multiple peaks which stretch away into the distance. The hilltop is covered in close cropped grass and dotted with rocky outcrops and the odd sheep hearts and there. The sky overhead is cloudy but bright with some blue peeking through. On the left can be seen the rolling hills and patchwork fields of the Shropshire countryside.

a reef heron (grey) walking past a flock of egrets.

the heron is grey feathered with yellow boots, (and some might consider this to be a grey morph of an egret as well)

the scene has intermediate and great egrets, and further back also a crow next to a handcart. there are puddles of water all around.

Au premier plan : deux aigrettes garzette (petit échassier tout blanc au bec et aux pattes noires) en train de marcher dans une eau miroitante. La plus à gauche des deux fait de grandes enjambées, le cou tendu, on dirait qu’elle est très pressée, tandis que l’autre parait plus calme. Derrière elles, on voit la tête d’un cormoran flou dépasser de l’eau. L’eau de l’étang a un aspect huileux et métallique, on dirait du mercure aux reflets bleus, verts et orangés. Une lumière douce éclaire partiellement les aigrettes.

Good morning tooters. It’s a grey old day here in Chiltern & heading up to 16c again although at the moment it’s just 9c. Supposed to be rain around but I don’t think there’ll be much in it.
Every morning I read my news reports from various independent sources & like to share those that pique my interest. Lately though reading the crap from the US & the🍊🤡 in his🎪 it’s really starting to get to me, makes me feel 🤪. Our msm is worse as their rubbish is virtually on repeat. I would absolutely love it if they just shut him off, stopped reporting the stupidity or even better, called it out - every single time! Aaaaaagh! Rant over & staying off the news today if I can 😬.
My Aeropress Go is apparently arriving today & will be left on the doorstep. Only 2 days until I go home & I’m trying to decide whether or not I should ask a friend to grab it for me. Things have been left for a day or two before as my unit is at the end of the driveway & quite hidden. I go home Friday morning. Decisions decisions.
My day will be quiet. I slept in today so I’m not showered yet but once I am I’ll take these dogs for their walk around the lake & attached reserve. Then back here for the rest of the day. Getting picked up at 6pm by a friend to go to the pub for dinner although it’s only a 10min walk away which will be nice 😁.
