This is so wasteful. Replaced the windshield wipers on the Astra.

Only the rubber part wears away, so why do you have to replace the whole thing made of lots of plastic and steel.

Would make sense to just replace the rubber strip with a new one. Doesn't look difficult, I got it apart in 5 seconds, might take a minute to put back together?

Why is this not a thing? Or did I just not find it (I did look, briefly).

I was out hiking on a local trail (Reno, Nevada) the other day when I saw this "house." It's all glass! And there's four arrays of 27 x 350W solar panels. That's 39kWs of solar! According to satellite imagery, the "house" measures 230ft long by 36ft wide, that's 8280sqft! #Wasteful & #Inefficient, it's the American way.
