Again from #WatatungaWildlifeReserve male and female #GreatBustard in the same frame. Neither of this pair could safely be returned to the wild but is hoped that they will breed and that their chicks could be returned to the wild.

A great bustard (very large game bird, with a tortoiseshell lack back, red and black tail feathers and a long grey neck, topped with small grey head and stout beak). This is a handy reminder that birds are actually feathered dinosaurs.

A great bustard at rest in Watatunga Wildlife Reserve. This gigantic bird has body feathering of black and gold, and the long neck and small white head give it a somewhat tortoise like appearance. It is resting on grass with some fallen leaves around it.

In this picture, taken in a woodland section of the Watatunga Wildlife Reserve, which is just four miles from the town of King's Lynn, are three animals each of a different species: The leftmost as you look is the biggest, a Cape Eland, which is the largest member of the antelope family. It has pale brown fur, and its twisty horns are clearly visible. In the middle is a Wildebeest, grey in colour, and off the right, slightly separate from the other two is a bongo, orange with silver stripes and very impressive horns.
