A few years ago a few artist friends and I started a collab of exchanging our sketchbooks. So our sketchbooks are now travelling the world. It also means I get the chance to paint in other artists sketchbooks from time to time!

This is a watercolor landscape painting of Mount Rainier. It is in landscape orientation. The painting is roughly divided in thirds horizontally: top third sky, middle third mountain range, bottom third meadow. The sky swoops in Ultramarine Blue with lighter values just above the mountain tops. The white capped mountains have shadowing to define its shape and is dotted with trees here and there. A dark tree line is at its base. The meadow is yellow green in the distance and gets darker moving to the foreground with splattering of blue and purple flowers.
