Der Sigöldufoss im südlichen Hochland Islands wird vom Fluss Tungnaá gespeist. Der Wasserfall entstand nach dem Bau des Hydrokraftwerks, als sich der Wasserlauf veränderte. Sichtbar ist der Wasserfall allerdings nur, wenn Wasser aus dem Stausee abgeleitet wird – gelegentlich kann er auch trockenfallen oder nur ein schmales Rinnsal führen.
