Dangerous Winds and Winter Weather from the Northern Rockies to Northern Plains; Fire Weather Concerns in Eastern Colorado
A powerful storm will shift from the Pacific Northwest across the Northern Plains today. Low elevation rain and mountain/Northern Plains snow will combine with high winds resulting in widespread impacts. Widespread damaging wind gusts of 50-70 mph are forecast across much of the Northwest U.S., Rockies, and Plains today. Elevated to critical fire weather expected in eastern Colorado today.

A storm system will bring a variety of hazards to the Eastern US. Wintry precipitation is expected from the central Appalachians to the Northeast.
