I actually bought 6 to distribute to some women in the place I lived ( an otherwise safe building) when a man living there
became increasingly disturbed and menacing. Just knowing that they had whistles around their neck kept this person at bay. The police did nothing, so we had no choice but to self-protect with a sound barrier that would alert others to come. It worked.
