A rather subdued set of photos for #WildflowerHour this week. The weather was terrible most of the week and most species were keeping their heads down. A cluster of inconspicuous flowers. One, pointing upwards rather than sideways, is in sharp focus showing that it is quite hairy.

A half-open orange flower, the inner petals very definitely unrips and yellow not orange.

A plant with a long thin stem which has tiny white flowers at the tip and seed pods shaped like hearts on side-stalks lower down. The leaves are out of shot lower down the stem.

A small plant with large, densely-packed leaves and small, pink flowers.

So scanned them and yeah the focal distance needs a bit of tweaking but still not bad for a 70+ year old camera that had a fungal infection and a stuck aperture ring when I acquired it. #believeinfilm #rodinal #wiltshire #kennetandavon

*3 grams* is a fuckton of #cocaine for a 16 year old lad to have bought, and not cheap either.

Can't help that feel that although the dealer has been nicked, pleaded guilty (hence the relatively low sentence) and society thus assumes "justice has been done" there is a much wider #safeguarding issue here which is being overlooked.

It seems unlikely the lad was going to consume all 3 grams himself and coke is rarely the sort of stuff you do in your bedroom in the family home (it would be boring, and the paranoia unbearable) - was he also dealing to his mates or part of a wider circle of friends who are already heavy drug users in their teens (just like what I regularly saw in SE England and East Anglia about 20 years ago?)

In Salisbury Cathedral a member of the staff witnessed a glowing noose float over to the tomb of a medieval saint.
