Le 14 octobre 2025 le support du système d’exploitation Windows 10 version 22H2, dernière version en développement continu prendra fin. Passée cette date, le système d’exploitation Windows 10 ne fera plus l’objet de mise à jour de sécurité et son éditeur Microsoft ne communiquera plus sur d’éventuelles nouvelles vulnérabilités l’affectant.

Torino - offro supporto migrazione a Linux su PC

Dopo il 14 Ottobre 2025 #microsoft non rilascerà più aggiornamenti di sicurezza per il sistema operativo #windows10.

Nell'ottica di minimizzare l'acquisto non necessario di nuovi dispositivi e quindi ridurre il pattume ('sto pattume è ad alto impatto ambientale), offro supporto a #Torino a chi dispone di un PC non compatibile all'aggiornamento a #windows11 o a chi vorrebbe migrare a #linux indipendentemente dal fine supporto di Windows 10.

Il mio supporto ed il mio aiuto sono offerti a titolo #gratuito, alle seguenti condizioni:
- nessun obbligo (il mio tempo libero è limitato, come il vostro... 😅); se ci fossero molte richieste, cercherei di smaltirne il più possibile secondo le mie possibilità; linea guida: chi prima chiede, prima viene contattato; eventuali cambi di priorità di stampo etico a mia discrezione... 🏴‍☠️
- non sono responsabile dell'eventuale perdita dei vostri dati (sarebbe vostra cura creare un backup prima);
- non offro qui servizio di assistenza tecnica SW o HW, al netto delle necessità dell'installazione di Linux in oggetto.

Eventuali offerte volontarie verrebbero devolute ad associazioni/iniziative #foss locali, da identificare.

--> Chiarire il tipo di utilizzo del pc prima della migrazione (ufficio, navigazione, gaming, multimedia/audio/video, programmazione, ecc...);

I just wanted to share this link for my own recollection reasons but also in case anyone sees this post that may need to see it. There's no reason to upgrade to Windows 11 or throw out your old Windows 10 PC in October. Windows no longer supporting your PC doesn't mean you need to get a new one.

No, it is not that bad..Support for Win 10 ends and if your PC is too old, you can' t run Windows 11 on it.

But....alas...there is hope.

@kuketzblog was offenbar gerne vergessen wird, ist wohl schon zu lange her, #Microsoft hatte hoch und heilig versprochen, dass #Windows10 das letzte „Windows“ sein würde. Danach „nur“ noch mehr oder weniger umfangreiche Updates.

Le disque était mal en point. L'utilisatrice est repartie avec un nouveau Mini-PC, don d'une administration d'Annecy et un OS #Xubuntu tout neuf et un disque SSD en prime.

Ce qui me suggère de relancer l'idée d'une table ronde #FindeVie #windows10

#Windows10 is coming to an end. I won’t use #Windows11 or other #Microsoft products anymore. I really like #Linux (especially #ArchLinux). I don’t want to be told how or when to use my own #computer. I won’t accept #datacollection, forced accounts, or #cloud-only services. In the future, I’ll play all my #games on Linux too.
