Booted Windows 11 for the first time in a long while because I need to make a quick change to a document I don’t have a soft copy of, and MS Paint is quick and easy. But first, I need to install updates and reboot a few times. No choice. 🙄

Anybody else try CachyOS? This is my first Arch based distro I have tried. I’m loving this. I tried this after dumping Microsoft. It has become my daily driver on my desktop. I have also got it just like I want it. Installed a couple of Windows games and they are running great.
I feel so dirty. Helping out a couple of people dealing with #endof10. Got them some Lenovo PCs and setting up Windows 11 for them. I hate myself for this.
Windows 11 is such an atrocious, spyware filled, advertisement ridden, soul sucking piece of shit OS.
Cramming stupid online account requirements down peoples throats.
Why do I need to run all these deshittifier apps to make Windows 11 somewhat functional knowing that in a few months some update will put all the crap back?
Went to help a friend out today update her computer to windows 11. She uses some custom software for scheduling, etc.
Did a backup of the software to external USB but then couldn't seem to get win11 upgrade running.
Ran a 'winver' and the machine was already on 11. Easiest upgrade I've ever had to do.
I would've enjoyed installing #Linux way more but that wasn't in the plan.

Just saw this stated, "Anyone who isn't forced to use Windows". ... Let's be honest; everyone was forced to use Windows. That is the only reason Windows got to its peak market share, otherwise we probably would have seen Amiga, OS/2, and some *NIX variant in more popular usage still. (Impossible to say what the mobile market would look like.)
It's nice to see more people saying #WindowsSucks, but Windows has always sucked.
