For those who love MSN/Windows Live Messenger, it has been revived! This site has been around for awhile, but I thought I should mention it for those who don't know about it and also for those who are tired of modern messaging programs which are often inaccessible. Note that you must create a free account with them and cannot use an old hotmail address or whatever you used with Microsoft's version. This is the same software, but modified to work on their servers. For that reason, even if you have the original on your computer, you should install theirs. There is a way to patch an existing one, but why go through all the trouble? Escargot works on Windows, from XP through 11, and it is completely accessible with NVDA, minus the games, which never worked with screen readers anyway. There are IOS and Android versions, but I have no idea how well they work in general, let alone with VoiceOver or Talkback. If you wish to add me, I am dandylover1@escargot.chat. Oprócz buga związanego z tym, że po wciśnięciu kosza, ikony znikały z pulpitu, nie kojarzę za bardzo problemów... Nie wiem, gry "Tony Tough 2" i "Świat Kucyków" były tak łatwe do zepsucia, że Windows Vista wyglądał jak twardziel I wytrzymał mnie...

Pretty shure @ubuntu / #UbuntuLTS is emulating that on it's #GnomeDesktop.

Worst-case there's some Gnome extension to copy #macOS Workspace behaviour.
- Just like there's #WinTile for using Super-Key based shortcuts (which were introduced with #WindowsVista) like Super+Tab and Super+Arrow-Keys to quickly switch between Application #Windows and arrange them on the screen without needing to use the mouse entirely...

It's funny too cos prior to all of that, I had a laptop that had an AMD Athlon X2 QL-64, an NVIDIA 8200M G, and 4 gigs of DDR2-667 RAM. Yes. 4 gigs of DDR2 RAM.

It was my first ever PC. It was running Windows 7 when I got it. It prolly ran Windows Vista originally but I got Windows 10 to run on it even though the components are from 2008. It's also the device where I first dipped into Linux, starting with Ubuntu 18.04.

Well what do you know – The Electronics Flea Market (EFM) has moved back to Saturday mornings and if you park in lot 2 it is free. Looks as we get to share the campus with the farmer’s market, so I get to peruse fruit & veg for the week and get my nerd on. Hopefully I will find another security appliance from a vendor I do not have yet for my test rack in the garage.

As many workers I must use #Windows daily, useless to say that it essentially a bag of crap...

I personally stopped to use it since 2009, I really forgot how bad can be for other tasks until my son decided to play videogames on its laptop...

While I am totally against it we allowed him because the excellent grades, so basically for school he must use #Devuan / #Linux and to play videogames he reboots in Windows and steam, although he plays mostly #roblox (🤢) with his friends.

And in Windows happens whatever craziest thing... And I am surprised how shitty can be Windows to do anything from graphics to play...

But even more surprise how videogamers cheat about Windows... It is the shittiest OS evere but they want to looks like software expert so they confuse high-end hardware with optimization, only because you need 3/4 of it only to run Windows smooth...

On any other OS but not the commercial ones, including: #Android; #ChromeOS; #MacOS; you get better performance.

I dare to say the #enshittification started with #WindowsVista...

@rogeragrimes almost as if driver signature enforcement isn't working on garbage OSes like #Windows and was only pushed to brick OEM-BIOS - driver - based cracks like the ones done by #Paradox back on #WindowsVista and #Windows7.

Also installing 3rd party binary blobs into Windows OSes is just bad. If one doesn't teust #Microsoft to make #Windows11 secure, then there's no legitimate reason to use Windows at all…
