I've got a Yakuza game sat in my "to play" heap on Steam, but I keep going back to Wizardry The Five Ordeals (the Windows 2005-ish remake?) which is weirdly compulsive once you get started.

Unsere Reise mit Iaruma, Garbage und Raraja geht etwas ruhiger weiter als angenommen. Im vierten Band geht es trotzdem recht gut weiter, da wir hier wieder einiges der Hintergrundgeschichte miterleben. Dabei spielt Raraja wieder die Hauptrolle und Iaruma ist wie immer mehr ein seltsamer Charakter, den wir nicht einordnen können.

Auch im vierten Band sind die Zeichnungen sehr düster geworden und auch der Humor bleibt erhalten. Inzwischen muss ich aber sagen, dass mir der Humor hier etwas zu flach geworden ist. Vielleicht liegt es aber auch nur daran, dass wir wenig an wichtigen Informationen bekommen, als es eigentlich nötig wäre. Nicht unbedingt schlimm, aber das gewisse Etwas habe ich hier vermisst.

»Ich möchte diesen roten Drachen bezwingen.« Raraja sucht mit Iarumas und Garbage im Dungeon nach der Leiche eines Rheamädchens, das ihm sehr wichtig ist. Stattdessen bergen sie aber Belkanan, eine angehende Magierin. Diese ist fest entschlossen, ihre zweite Chance auf ein Leben bestmöglich zu nutzen

Die Reise geht weiter

In diesem Band dreht sich der Großteil der Geschichte um die Situation unserer Truppe durch die Augen von Raraja gesehen und seinen Gedanken dazu. Unser Neuzugang zur Gruppe und wie es dazu gekommen ist, fließt hier ineinander über. Dabei erleben wir das Ganze in kleineren Zeitsprüngen, die in meinen Augen recht schön erzählt werden.

Eine Sache, die ich so nicht wirklich mag, ist die allgemeine Erzählweise seit dem letzten Band. Es ist zwar schön, dass wir das aus der Sicht von Raraja erleben, doch es fehlt hier das gewisse Etwas. Es wirkt hier einfach zu sprunghaft und zu ausgewürfelt, ohne einen wirklichen Weg fortzuführen. Ob hier eventuell das Ganze aufgebaut wird, um später so richtig loszulegen, bleibt dahingestellt.

Trotz der Punkte oben hatte ich meinen Spaß mit dem Band. Die Geschichte gefällt mir trotz der etwas sprunghaften Erzählweise. Die im Band vorkommenden Kämpfe sind eher zur Darstellung und Visualisierung von Rarajas Gedanken genommen worden als zu unterhalten. Unser Neuzugang Belkanan ist eine süße, aber dafür recht schüchterne. Passt aber irgendwie in das seltsame Team.

Zum Abschluss bekommen wir hier wieder einen recht großen Cliffhanger geboten. Was in den vorherigen Teilen so ein wenig angedeutet worden ist, wurde hier so richtig in Szene gesetzt, ohne etwas wirklich zu verraten. Weiß persönlich nicht, was ich davon halten soll. Hält mich aber definitiv bei der Stange.
