Work in Progress on a fairly large piece 24” x 36” I’ve been working on for a long time now it feels. Trying to be patient with all the details. Really happy with how it’s slowly coming along. Working in acrylics, haven’t decided if I will go over with oils later. I need more acrylic brush pens for some of the fine details. Her hair merges with the background streets. Eventually I will paint vertical lines at the top which will make this look like a loom and an unfinished weaving.

From the very first draft of my WIP. Floating.

“Then we should join with the swingers,” Hans said holding out his hand for Derek, who obliged with a high five. “Are they still swinging?” Sam asked. “I am sure there is some mourning,” Derek said. “But everyone mourns in their own way.” “By fucking,” Sandy said. “Girl,” Derek said. He held up his hand and Sandy high fived it. Sam leaned back. “I’m just thinking of how we would know someone,” he said. Hans leaned forward. “There are people on board who own passports from many countries. It’s easy. Sometimes, we dock at a place, in the Caribbean, and the passports are waiting for them. They’ve arranged it. They collect passports! Like people used to collect stamps.” He held out his martini glass but no one filled it. He looked at it, annoyed, and placed it on the deck. “Why do they collect passports? They are not cheap. You must pay. Sometimes, not so much, but you have to pay hundreds of thousands of dollars. There are law firms that deal with this.” “It is convenience. Everything in the end is convenience,” Derek said.

Illustration en cours de mon personnage Nix à l'aquarelle : un petit humanoïde qui a presque une tête de chat, qui tient une lanterne et à une étoile entre ses mains. Le fond est dans une ambiance violette.
