#techbro culture is wild. a desktop support supervisor told me there are 20-some people on the team I was first-interviewing to join. when I asked if there were any women working on the team currently? none. when I asked them how their company fosters diversity in the workplace, the answer boiled down to "we employ people of all ethnicities." I got the feeling I made at least one of the *four* men interviewing me feel intimidated just by being direct and knowledgeable. Another silently shook his head throughout the interview for reasons I'll never know.
