A little bump to the Neon68K Unpacker (v1.0.1)

- Better documentation.
- Now either build the data to a local folder, or it can directly FTP to the MiSTer.

Me encanta que ZUIKI saque más miniversiones del ordenador X68000, incluso está planteándose vender fuera de Japón.

Pero su precio está más cerca del X68000 original que accesible en general.

New video! Check out the original X68000 version of Thunder Force II and see how the later Genesis / Mega Drive version stacks up! As usual this is a complete game comparison with commentary.

Yes, I know, I could have 3D printed something, but I really lack the space for a 3D printer, and I have too many tools I barely use anyway. Plus I don't have experience in designing these kind of things - although would be very interested, but not having a printer is kinda demotivating. This was just way faster and simpler - for now.

On a related note and looking sharp - used the white-on-black labels to add some other matching labels here and there.

Added a matching white-on-black label on the back machine, to match the modified power supply. The previous power-output for the monitor is now a generic input. The previous power input is blanked off.Changed my usual "CHARLIE" name tag on the bottom of the keyboard from black-on-white to white-on-black.

People often find if funny, that I label all my stuff with my name, but honestly, if you're involved in organizing as many events as I am, and you mix-and-match your gear a lot with stuff from others, and people misplace your stuff all the time or accidentally pack it with someone else's stuff, this is the best thing you can do to get it back...

Still wrapping up some small projects after the holidays. This time, I put the X68000 USB mouse adapter I built previously into a case.

The small plastic box I bought for this is slightly too big, but I padded it with some foam I had at hand. Proper zip-tie engineering results in good enough stress reliefs. Add some white-on-black labels to make it look... SHARP. (Sorry...)

Not too bad for a first try and it still works - the Arduino survived the surgery.

Empty small "generic" plastic case with the lid removed on a white desk. It's about 6 x 4 x 2.5 cm in size. The small case with the Arduino-Nano based X68000 USB mouse adapter built into. Also visible the modifications made to the plastic to accompany the USB port. The case closed up, and the adapter assembled. It has white-on-black labels that say "CHARLIE, X68K TO USB MOUSE" and "USB MOUSE ONLY".The X68000 assembled, to test the adapter if it survived moving it into a case. It did. The X68000 is running a Paint app (Matier) that shows "Hello! :)" written on the screen with the mouse, with a colorful background.

I uploaded my version of the Arduino code to a GitHub Gist here: gist.github.com/chainq/995a665

What feels like an eternity ago, I started building an Arduino-based USB mouse adapter for my Sharp X68000. I managed to get it working today.

It's based on Zuofu's Mouse and Keyboard Adapter, but modified to support the mouse port, as I do have an original keyboard. But even if I hoard an original mouse later, I'll probably prefer a modern optical mouse. A black Raspberry Pi mouse works just fine.

First time I can use the Human 68k Visual Shell! cc: @spook

Closeup shot of the adapter, work-in-progress. Some wires are already soldered in, but the USB shield is not soldered on yet.Big work-in-progress mess on the desktop. The Arduino programmer serial adapter is hooked up, the soldering iron is hot, and there are other various tools required for the work.Device-under-test. The X68000 Expert HD is on the desk now, with the original keyboard, and the adapter with a black Raspberry Pi mouse. The Human68k 2.0 Visual Shell is running from a floppy disk, with several windows open, that require the use of the mouse. It works!"Final" modification of the adapter for now, with some zip-ties added as stress relief on the cabling.
