A friend set up #YunoHost to host a few web services. It seems to work well, except that it logs everyone out every couple of days, and we can't figure out how to configure this login session expiration time. Does anyone know? I tried asking for help on their support forum, but have not received any replies.

If you've been following my toots for a while, you know how incredibly grateful I am to @yunohost for empowering me to self-host my own fedi instances.

Six months ago I knew nothing about self-hosting. Now, thanks to #YunoHost and the superb tools they offer (for free!), I am running my own #GoToSocial, #Friendica, #Pixelfed and #PeerTube instances. I am a new and improved and more empowered digital citizen thanks to it. I cannot begin to describe the immense gratitude I feel towards YunoHost and its team of volunteers.

I upgraded my #mastodon instance on #Yunohost to 4.3.7 and now none of the images or avatars will load. I am at a loss. I tried to add an image to a post, it just sits there loading. Any clues?

@isotopp @yunohost Wow, I'd heard the name yunohost before but didn't really realise what it was. I'm running a selfhosted server with #Archlinux on a #Pi atm, but keeping it up to date is a bit of a struggle as I have to re-learn how it works every time. Something like this would help with that.

I do use now-dns.com to create a static url for it, would that still work with #yunohost ?

The main issue for me is that I don't know which servers I can trust, and I don't want to get cut off from my friends because my server got deleted. This is less of a problem with Mastodon because it's just a public forum anyway.

Once I figure out #YunoHost and become relatively confident that I'll be able to restore my server if I mess it up, I think I'll just host my own server just for me and people I know personally.

Então a dica é pesquisar por VPS por até 2 dólares, aí vão aparecer várias opções mais acessíveis. Claro que são mais simples, porém mais que o suficiente para começar :blobBone_dance:

Pesquisei um teco e estou a meses no VPS Hosting Service [1], tem sido bem bão. Tem todo o necessário, usabilidade de boas e o suporte é útil. Comecei pagando 1,4 doletas por mês. Quando precisei subir para 2 doláres (uau), para instalar o @homeassistant com mais conforto, ainda teve desconto nas outras categorias. Recomendo muito :yay:

Quer ter seu próprio servidor, mas não tem conhecimento técnico?? Basta usar @yunohost e seus problemas estão resolvidos :mario_luigi_dance: Após instalado (pequeno passo a passo), com poucos cliques, vc pode instalar centenas de programas em seu servidor :catjam:

Tiens, j'ai installé Pleroma sur mon vps avec Yunohost, ça fédère bien, tout fonctionne bien... sauf que je ne peux rien uploader,
Dans les posts si j'ajoute une image ou video et que je poste j'ai le message : "Error: e.text is undefined" qui s'affiche.
Impossible aussi de mettre un avatar, une bannière.
Bref ça veut rien uploader 🙄

Aurais-tu une idée petit Masotdounet ?

- mail pro et familial
- cloud sans être l'ordinateur de quelqu'un d'autre (#nextcloud)
- fediverse (#misskey)
- gestion administrative d'une petite SASU (#dolibarr)
- base de code (gitea avant, #forgejo maintenant)

Tout ça tourne sur un pc portable de 10 ans d'âge, depuis plus de 3 ans.
