Training women to be solar technicians

Hamad is one of dozens of “solar mamas” trained in Zanzibar by Barefoot College International, a global nonprofit, through a program that brings light to rural communities and provides jobs for local women. So far in Zanzibar, it has lit 1,845 homes.

Apparently crowds stormed Dar Es Salaam airport yesterday. They stormed a bloody AIRPORT! Jamani!

From what I hear, the situation in #tanzania remains chaotic. Internet access is unstable. In some places police officers are mixing with the protesters in mutual support. In Mwanza city, gunshots were reported. Frog-face Samia has disappeared but ppl expect news of her "re-election" every minute. Meanwhile #zanzibar celebrates re-election of "yes, these islands are for sale"-Mwinji.
