FYI, in Alberta at least, there are zero dollars for your kid with extra challenges until they get a psych test and an academic test.
The school will pay for it, but they're only allotted a limited number of tests. What that means is that if your kid isn't among the most academically or behaviourally challenged, they'll have to wait until next year.
