It's much better than the first of the trilogy, Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse, which is phenomenal.

i wonder if given the volatile political climate, sony will feel the need to overcorrect on the implication that #gwenstacy is trans in #acrossthespiderverse. imagine for the follow up they shoehorn in a flashback of gwen stacy being born, destined for greatness... and the doctor in the background go "it's a girl", like some sony executive barging in to some tumblr post of a young transfem feeling represented and seen to make sure that she knows that she isn't.
