Some days, being out in public feels exhausting.

You’re just trying to exist; get your groceries, grab a coffee, go for a walk. But the looks come anyway.

When you’re trans, queer, disabled, a person of color, or just visibly “different” in any way, you start noticing these looks. You feel them. It’s not paranoia.

Luna knows this feeling all too well. And so do many of us. It can feel like you’re carrying a sign you didn’t ask for. Some days you can brush it off. Other days, it chips away at you, moment by moment.

We wanted to make this comic for everyone who has walked through the world feeling watched instead of seen. For everyone who’s had to build armor just to go outside. You shouldn’t have to. And yet, here we are.

You’re not alone. You are worthy of safety, peace, and comfort in your body and in public spaces. And one day, we’ll make that world together. 💜🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈✊🏽

✨ Sometimes the hardest questions are the ones we can’t answer yet, especially during Pride Month when so much of the focus is on visibility and identity.

For so many of us in the queer community, figuring out our gender and sexuality isn’t a one-and-done process. It’s an evolving journey, and it’s okay if you don’t have all the answers right now. You don’t owe anyone a clear label or an explanation, and your identity is valid even if it feels messy or uncertain.

We created this comic to remind anyone in that part of their journey that you’re not alone. Questioning is still queer. Uncertain is still valid, and no one gets to rush your process. You deserve the time and safety to discover what feels true to you.

🌈 Wherever you are on your journey, we’re sending love your way. Take your time. You are enough, exactly as you are. 🌈

If this resonates, please share it! Someone else out there needs to hear this too.

💬 And tell us in the comments: have ever been asked questions you weren’t ready to answer? Let’s support each other.

✨ Follow for more soft, validating comics like this one!

Happy Pride Month to all!!

Trauma doesn’t just haunt you when you’re awake, sometimes it follows you into your dreams.

In this comic, Luna wakes up mid-flashback from a night terror, spiraling into a panic attack. But with calm care, her partner checks in, helps ground her, and makes sure she gets what she needs. This one is heavy, but it’s real. Because trauma begets trauma, and gentleness is a powerful antidote.

💬 Have you experienced this too? You’re not alone—share if you feel safe.

Getting in touch with your body sounds nice… until you remember why you stopped being in touch in the first place.

Luna’s body awareness level is dangerously high; her tolerance for it is non-existent.

Also, shoutout to anyone who’s ever had a mindfulness practice unlock a core memory you didn’t ask for. We see you.

Have you ever tried mindfulness or body awareness and instantly regretted it? Tell us your most startlingly dysphoric moment in the comments — we’re collecting data for science. Unhinged science.

Luna’s partner walks in expecting a normal afternoon, but Luna is over here summoning winds, channeling spirits, casually rewriting the laws of physics.

Luna opened up about all her symptoms, trauma, and chronic pain… and the acupuncturist hit her with “your pain is spiritual.”

It’s one thing to be open-minded, but when you’re barely surviving, that kind of comment can sting.

Pain is real, whether it’s in the body, the spirit, or both. You deserve care that sees the whole you.

Sometimes the worst things happen and there’s no deeper reason. No lesson to be learned. No cosmic path that made the pain “worth it.” They just happened, and they shouldn’t have.

In this comic, Luna listens to three different people share real, painful experiences: struggling to find work, surviving abuse, and living with trauma. Then someone tries to wrap it all up with, “Everything happens for a reason.” It’s meant to comfort, but more often than not, it comforts the speaker, not the person hurting. It’s a way to soften the discomfort of witnessing someone’s pain, especially if you’ve never faced it—or even if you have and haven’t fully allowed yourself to feel it. But denying the weight of trauma, yours or someone else’s, isn’t healing. It’s erasure.

If you’ve ever been told your pain made you stronger when you just needed someone to say, “I believe you,” this comic is for you. You’re not stronger because of what happened—you’re stronger in spite of it. And you deserved better in the first place.

Let people heal without forcing a silver lining.

Have you ever been told “everything happens for a reason” after something awful? How did it make you feel? Let it out in the comments—we’re listening.

Luna just wanted to help someone out before their job interview. That’s it. She was doing her job—and trying to give someone a shot at their future. But when the stylist refused to cut his hair right in front of him, all Luna could do was watch as that opportunity slipped away.

Discrimination doesn’t always come with slurs or shouting. Sometimes it shows up in whispers and side-eyes. In the refusal to serve someone. In the “not my problem” shrugs. In the silence that follows.

This comic is based on a real experience—and no, no one was held accountable. The salon kept its “welcoming” branding, and the stylists faced no consequences. And the worst part? That man walked out with his head down, like he was the problem.

These moments stay with us. For the people like him, and for the rest of us who try to hold the line, only to realize the line was never drawn in our favor.

We’re still fighting. And we’re still here.

If you’ve been through something like this—whether you were the one targeted or the one left powerless watching—drop a comment. Let’s make space to say we see you.

Waking up with chronic pain be like: Stretch. Regret. Repeat.

You know that moment when your alarm goes off, your cat’s doing yoga at the foot of the bed, and you’re like, “Yeah, I can stretch too”? And then your whole spine sounds like a bag of microwave popcorn and you’re just lying there whispering “ow ow ow ow” like it’s a morning mantra. Luna really just tried to join in on the morning stretch vibes and got hit with the full Aspirin Flakes experience. That bonus panel is sponsored by “please let me function today” and “what if pain, but breakfast?”

For anyone who’s ever pulled a muscle just by existing—or had your joints file a formal complaint because you dared to move—you are not alone. Stretch responsibly, folks.

Ah, quiet firing. The corporate classic. Why confront someone like a human being when you can just fade them out like the end of a bad sitcom?

Step 1: Cut their hours.
Step 2: Stop scheduling them altogether.
Step 3: Casually “forget” they exist until they’re forced to quit out of sheer psychic exhaustion.

And then—every time—someone pops up like:
“Wait… isn’t that illegal??”

Oh my sweet over-sheltered spreadsheet reader…
YES. It is.

But unless you’ve got a lawyer, a therapist, three backup paychecks, and a time machine—you’re out of luck, babe.

So Luna and her partner do what we all do in the face of hopeless injustice: laugh so hard you ascend to a new plane of coping. You know the one. It’s right between “I should sue” and “I guess I’ll just rot quietly.”

And the kicker?
“File a report.”

Oh yeah, just march right into the grand American Justice Factory, hand them your discrimination complaint, and watch them process it directly into the paper shredder.

This comic is a love letter to everyone who’s been gaslit, ghosted, and ground down by a system built to pretend it’s “fair.”
You’re not crazy. You’re not dramatic.
You’re just finally seeing the glitch in the capitalist matrix.

Chronic illness logic: You wake up with a decent pain level and suddenly you’re a speed-cleaning ninja with a death wish.

In this classic Luna moment, the pain scale dipped just enough to trick her into thinking she could conquer the world… or at least the laundry. Spoiler alert: she could not. But she did conquer the dishes, floors, and at least one very alarmed cat. That’s worth something, right?

This comic is for every spoonie who’s ever felt that rare burst of functionality and immediately sprinted headfirst into a self-destructive cleaning montage. You know who you are. You felt okay… until you didn’t.

Sometimes, managing chronic illness means fighting your own instincts to do all the things the second you feel a little better. But hey, if you’re gonna crash, might as well crash with a sparkling floor and folded laundry.

We see you. We are you. And we made this comic just for you.

Ever get that rare moment where your calendar clears up and you finally breathe—only for life to ring you up like, “Heyyy bestie, did you miss me??” Yeah. This one’s for all our spoonie warriors who just once wanted to sleep in, binge shows, or pretend their inbox didn’t exist. But alas, the doctor’s office had other plans.

Luna’s been riding the medical merry-go-round for six weeks straight, dreaming of a mythical day off… and just when it looked like peace was on the horizon—RING RING! Hello, disappointment! Make yourself at home! We love how Luna immediately rolls with it because that’s what chronic illness folks are forced to do: adapt, schedule, cancel, reschedule, and somehow stay soft through it all.

We made this comic funny on purpose, but the real truth? Living this life is exhausting. If you relate to Luna, we see you. You deserve more days off. More real rest. And a healthcare system that doesn’t require a whole-ass Google Calendar degree to navigate.

Do your “days off” keep getting hijacked too?? Let us know what your version of this is—we wanna hear all the wild last-minute appointment stories!

When bullying becomes a background constant, our brains get really good at rehearsing how to survive. Sometimes that looks like self-deprecating humor. Sometimes it looks like a total mental rehearsal for every cruel thing they might say. And sometimes? It becomes a performance. Because if we can say the awful stuff before they do, maybe it won’t hurt as much.

This comic explores a painful but real part of PTSD: internalized abuse. The voices of past tormentors don’t always fade—they set up camp, get comfortable, and start running their own little hate-radio show in your head. Even long after we’ve physically escaped harm, many of us still feel like we’re standing at that bus stop, bracing for the next blow.

But you’re not alone. These wounds are valid, your story is real, and recovery is a messy, non-linear journey. We hope this comic brings a little laugh, a little validation, and maybe even a little release. It’s okay if you’re not “over it.” That doesn’t make you weak. It means you survived something real.

Have you ever used humor as armor? Or practiced what you’d say to your bullies, even years later? Let us know below.

Sometimes the coping mechanisms that keep us safe also end up hurting us. Luna walks through the world with her head down—not because she wants to, but because life taught her to. Years of trauma, fear, and judgment made it feel safer to become invisible. When you’ve experienced repeated harm just for existing, lowering your gaze becomes second nature. You shrink yourself to survive.

But over time, survival mode has a cost.

In this comic, we explore the way mental health and trauma physically manifest in the body. Luna’s posture isn’t just about slouching—it’s about self-protection. It’s about shielding herself from the people who stared, laughed, judged, or did worse. And now, her body carries the weight of that history: the back pain, the neck pain, the constant dizziness… all reminders that trauma doesn’t just live in the mind. It settles in the bones, the muscles, the posture we carry through the world.

There’s no shame in needing to feel safe. There’s no shame in walking a little differently because of what you’ve been through. This comic is for anyone who’s been told, “Just stand up straight” without anyone asking what made you curl in the first place.

We see you. You’re not alone in this.

Have you noticed your mental health affecting your physical body? We’d love to hear your story in the comments if you’re open to sharing.

Luna’s partner said they’d be “right back.” Simple, right? And yet… ten minutes later, Luna’s sitting in the car like: “Why is the door wide open?”

Cut to her partner’s return and the most neurodivergent logic ever—“So I don’t lock the keys in, silly.”

The wild part? Luna was holding the keys the entire time.

Sometimes AuDHD brains are so busy being thoughtful they loop themselves into next-level nonsense logic.

It’s cute. It’s chaotic. It’s love.
And Luna wouldn’t have it any other way.

Do you and your partner ever forget how time, keys, or doors work? Share your favorite silly moment together!

Sometimes the only thing that helps… is her partner.

Luna had been struggling to put on her shoes, especially on tough pain days. So her partner—ever thoughtful and resourceful—brought her a little stool to make it easier. It helped… sort of. Until the next day, when Luna was right back in the same bent-over, groaning position.

Turns out the stool was a sweet gesture, but the real solution was just… her partner.

This comic is a little love letter to caretakers and partners of chronically ill folks. To the ones who bring stools, offer fans, sit with us through flare-ups, and never stop trying to help in both big and small ways—thank you. You’re seen, you’re appreciated, and you’re kind of the best.

For Luna, the stool was sweet. But her partner’s lap? That’s where the magic happens.

What’s one small thing someone has done for you that meant everything? We love reading your stories!

Sometimes people downplay the impact of “friendly” touch, but the truth is, every interaction deserves consent—no matter how small.

“You might be a hypochondriac!” 😑
“That isn’t pain, it’s just sensation!” 🙃
“We won’t treat your pain, or we might not know what’s causing it!” 🤡

Medical professionals, I’m begging you, make it make sense.

Luna, like so many of us, has dealt with every variation of medical gaslighting. Doctors dismissing pain, questioning reality, and prescribing a whole lot of nothing—while ordering tests that don’t even make sense. If you’ve ever had a doctor make you question your own body, you are not alone.
