I know things are probbaly going to be... incredibly up in the air for a while, with the Netflix/WBD announcement and all, but I wanted to see if anybody else has noticed or been bothered by the feeling that Adult Swim is kind of... dying?

Like, a couple of years back, we had 4-5 shows for the evening "repeat" blocks - for a long time the block was Futurama, American Dad, Bob's Burgers, and King of The Hill. Then we lost Futurama but gained Family Guy back.

Then they moved the Adult Swim start time up and had the transition block of "Checkered Past", showing off older Cartoon Network shows that I still love seeing.

Now... the early start time remains, but Checkered Past is gone. King of the Hill is gone completely (probably because of the Hulu reboot), American Dad is only showing late at night and will probably be gone soon (TBS lost it back to Fox who decided to un-cancel it), and we're just doing endless Bob's Burgers and Family Guy repeats between 5 PM and 11 PM.

Four of #CartoonNetwork's best showmakers, Rebecca Sugar, Pat McHail, Pendelton Ward, and Ian Jones-Quarty, each have made a short cartoon together called #TheElephant. Ian & Rebecca on one part, Pat on another, and Pen on a third part. Each group not knowing what the other is doing. And neither do we, as details are not many.

The finished product will premier on [Adult Swim] 12/19. Then on HBO Max the next day.
