Die "Stade Zeit" im Dezember bot auch 2024 fuer die Cyber Security reichlich Gelegenheit, die eigenen Skills zu schärfen und neue Dinge zu lernen. Zum einen durch den Advent of Cyber "Adventskalender" von Try Hack Me, zum anderen durch Vorträge und Workshops auf dem 38. Chaos Communication Congress (38c3).

VERDICT: ...yeah sorry guys but it's bad. It's really bad, actually.

I'd say at the very least half of the tasks are not doable outright due to bugs in the #tryHackMe platform if you use a #screenReader. From the ones that ARE doable, some require advanced knowledge a beginner just wouldn't have, which is a problem for a supposed beginner-friendly event.
I did manage to flag down someone who might actually be able to fix some of the issues I've pointed out for years. Here's hoping we FINALLY see some improvements in 2025 but given the current track record... yeah, not holding my breath. I'm a #blind person and i'll believe it when I see it. #adventOfCyber #infoSec #accessibility

It is Done. I have completed #adventofcyber and picked up this shiny badge! Overall I found it easier for me this year than last and I am happy I stuck with it. I need to think about my goals for this type of learning in 2025.

I'm evaluating its #accessibility for #screenReader users v8.26 for the #tryHackMe #AdventOfCyber challenges and let's just say I have some feedback to share. Picked up #adventofcyber and have day 24 left. Hopefully I can finish today but if not, tomorrow.

Life got in the way of me finishing my #adventofcyber up today. Being I am doing for fun, I am not stressing and hope to finish tomorrow or Thursday.

Normally I would be a bit upset at myself but I also completed a full 24 hour pathway on TryHackMe in addition to the Advent stuff so I feast before finishing.

Kind of a surreal Xmas, it has the elements of Xmas but it seems far away. Better than most holidays for me but something seems different.

About to get started with today's main stream. Will be doing the last day of #AdventOfCyber first, then #Mabinogi, community games, and more! Let's observe #Christmas Eve together!

Finished up yesterday’s #adventofcyber in quick time. I have been laid out most of the weekend with a back flareup so I am happy I made it through one. I should have time tomorrow to get caught up for the wrap

stuck in SQ4 now too, after SQ3. I wonder if I want to invest more time into the L5 card tomorrow, or call it good.

after 4 of 4 sidequests in 2023, this will probably be only 2 of 5 SQs this year - not satisfying.
